HLTAID003 Provide first aid
COURSE OVERVIEW - This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, include community and workplace settings.
Specific licensing requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training, should be obtained from the relevant state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authority.

Perform cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Provide first aid and monitor the casualty’s condition and respond within established principles

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW & DO - You will need to complete a workbook prior to the course. This can be done online or in paper format (please ensure you bring these books with you)
ASSESSMENTS - Throughout the course participants must demonstrate competency during a series of practical skills evaluation and written assessments.
LICENCES & CERTIFICATION - This course is Nationally Recognised Training and applicants’ deemed competent at the conclusion of the course will be provided with a Statement of Attainment and a wallet-size competency card.
